Q8. Personal Portfolio Project

With the incredible help of Blender Guru’s tutorials I was able to make these tasty donuts using the Blender 3D modeling software. This was an incredible learning experience and it sparked my love for 3D modeling. Please give some love to Blender Guru and his community of very helpful people by subscribing to his YouTube channel.

Q4. Project - Physics-Based Puzzle Game "Blueprint: Breakdown"

Blueprint: Breakdown was another group project where I got to work with amazing people. This group in specific was very fun, kind of stressful since we had 2 days less to finish it unlike the other projects but the amazing team chemistry we had helped to create an amazing game. Since we had less time for this project we had to be smart about our planning so from the beginning we went with a very simple style of artwork and play tested a lot with different mechanics to decide which we have time to implement properly. This project thought me great planning and I am great full for the time I got to spend with my amazing team.

Things I worked on:

  • Game/Level Design
  • Playtesting
  • Presenting the Game
  • Planning

Q3. Project - Arcade Game "Revenge of Izanagi"

Revenge of Izanagi is one of my favourite projects to work on. It was a project that unlike the last one I worked in a team with another designer, engineer and 3 artists. So in this project I had to exercise my planning, leadership, and even my soldering skills. I enjoyed this project so much since the characters and the story of our game was so interesting and most who play tested or heard about the game loved the idea of it. Another reason why I enjoyed it so much is that I got to use my skills with circuits, wires, soldering and Arduino. Luckily we had an Input/Output class that though me a lot about this subject.

Things I worked on:

  • Game/Level/Character Design
  • Planning
  • Paperwork
  • Creating and Coding an Arduino Controlled Arcade Controller
  • Presenting the Game

Q.2 Game Design - "Space Race"

For this assignment we were obliged to make a 2D platformer game where the game design and level design were most important. So as long as the game functioned the way the designer intended it did not matter if there were other issues. We were provided with many options for platforms in which we can make our games, and I choose Unity to get a head start on it, and to be honest I just wanted to work with unity because I like it. I am glad I choose Unity since it is very important for me to learn it.

Things I worked on:

  • Game/Level Design
  • Coding
  • Prototyping
  • Playtesting
